Introduction
A Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics is an undergraduate degree programme affiliated with the University of Mumbai under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The programme equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to secure computer systems, protect digital infrastructure, investigate cybercrimes, and analyse digital evidence. Through laboratory sessions, real-world projects, and hands-on exposure to cybersecurity and forensic tools, students develop expertise in ethical hacking, cryptography, network security, cyber laws, digital investigations, and incident response. The programme prepares graduates for careers in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Information Security, Cybercrime Investigation, Security Consulting, and related technology domains.

Eligibility
- A candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. (Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics) should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) Examination in Science, Commerce or its equivalent with not less than 45% aggregate marks at the first attempt (40% for Reserved Category), subject to the eligibility rules prescribed by the University of Mumbai.
- Every candidate admitted to the degree course shall have to register with the University.
Admission
- Admission shall be granted as per the rules and regulations framed by the University of Mumbai from time to time.
- Candidates from Boards or Universities other than Maharashtra State Board or the University of Mumbai must produce the necessary Transfer Certificate and Eligibility documents at the time of admission.

- The programme develops graduates capable of identifying, preventing, analysing, and responding to cyber threats using modern cybersecurity techniques and digital forensic methodologies.
- Students acquire competencies in ethical hacking, cryptography, secure programming, cyber laws, digital evidence handling, incident response, and risk assessment, enabling them to pursue higher education, research, entrepreneurship, and professional careers in cybersecurity.
Scheme of Examination
The Scheme of the Examination shall be divided in three parts:
- Internal Assessment – 25 Marks
- Semester End Examination – 75 Marks
- Practical Examination – 50 Marks
