THE FOUNDING STORY
This story begins with compassion, long before it becomes a story of commerce. After Partition, thousands of refugees arrived in Mumbai with almost nothing. Parmanand Deepchand Hinduja, industrialist, philanthropist and founder of the Hinduja Group, stepped forward; He believed education was a fundamental right, not a privilege. So, in the early 1950s he opened a school at Charni Road, under a Smt P.D. Hinduja Trust he had founded in 1944 in his mother's memory for the children of refugees rebuilding their lives in a new city
His two sons, Gopichand and Prakash Hinduja who would go on to lead the Group to global prominence, studied here as boys before leaving for higher studies abroad. The connection between this institution and the family that built it has always been personal.

ASHOK P. HINDUJA
Chairman, Hinduja Group
A MESSAGE FROM ASHOK P. HINDUJA
At the Hinduja Group, we have always believed that strong institutions are built over time through integrity, disciplined governance, and an unwavering commitment to societal progress. Education, in particular, has remained a cornerstone of our engagement in nation-building
K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce stands as a reflection of this belief. The College has been shaped by a clear purpose: to provide high-quality, relevant education while fostering ethical judgment, professional competence, and a sense of responsibility among its students.
In an increasingly complex and fast-evolving world, the role of educational institutions extends beyond academic instruction. They must prepare individuals to think critically, act responsibly, and lead with integrity. At KP.B. Hinduja College of Commerce, this responsibility is taken seriously supported by sound governance structures, prudent financial stewardship, and a long-term institutional outlook.
We are committed to maintaining rigorous academic standards while continually adapting to the needs of industry and society. At the same time, we remain guided by the principles that have defined the Hinduja legacy for generations: trust, transparency, professionalism, and stewardship.
As we look to the future, our focus remains on strengthening the institution investing in faculty and infrastructure, deepening industry engagement, and expanding access to quality education always with a view toward sustainable, long-term impact rather than short-term outcomes.
"Education is not merely an investment in individuals. It is a contribution to the future of the nation!"
