Hinduja College Brings Among Us to Life with Inside RCHC

What happens when you take two of the most addictive games around, Mafia and Among Us, and turn them into a real, physical experience across an entire campus? Our Club Service found out on 12th August 2026, with an event that had 100 students sprinting between rooms, dodging suspicion, and trying to figure out who they could actually trust.

An Idea Worth Building

Inside RCHC started as a simple question: could the suspense and strategy of Among Us work just as well in real life as it does on a screen? The organising team spent weeks figuring that out, mapping gameplay, estimating room and participant numbers, and testing whether the concept could realistically come together within the college. Once the shape of the event was clear, the real work began.

Designing Tasks That Actually Worked

A huge part of the planning went into crafting tasks for both Crewmates and Imposters, activities that were engaging without being frustratingly difficult, and manageable within tight time and space constraints. The team sourced props like cups, ping pong balls, puzzles and stationery from Crawford Market, keeping costs sensible while still building a genuinely immersive setup. About ten days before the event, they ran a full mock-up, catching issues early and giving volunteers a real feel for their roles before the pressure of the actual day.

Game Day: 100 Players, 14 Rooms, One Mystery

On 12th August, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, the college transformed into a live gameplay arena. A hundred participants were split into Crewmates and ten secret Imposters, spread across 14 rooms, each hosting a different physical or mental challenge. Unlike the digital version, players had to physically move, think on their feet, and read the room, literally, as they worked through tasks testing speed, observation and problem-solving.

Twenty Volunteers Keeping It All Together

Running an event this size took serious coordination. Twenty volunteers were stationed across the rooms, explaining tasks, managing the flow of participants, and making sure the rules stayed clear even as suspicion and strategy built throughout the afternoon. Their role was less about watching and more about actively keeping the experience exciting and smooth for everyone involved.

A Finale Worth the Suspense

After multiple rounds of emergency meetings, eliminations and plenty of second-guessing, the game wrapped up with the Imposters pulling off the win, outsmarting the Crewmates in a finish that made for a genuinely satisfying end to the afternoon.

The Numbers Back Up the Buzz

The event’s Instagram reel pulled in 18.7k views, 461 likes and over 400 shares, while 28 participants who shared feedback overwhelmingly rated the experience 4 or 5 out of 5. Playing as an Imposter came up again and again as a favourite part, with many describing it as genuinely feeling like living inside Among Us.

What’s Next for Inside RCHC

Feedback wasn’t just positive, it was useful. Participants asked for tighter time management and slightly longer gameplay to avoid feeling rushed, along with clearer upfront instructions, solid groundwork for an even bigger version next time.
