                     BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE)


        Orientation Programme
        An Orientation Programme was organized for the First-Year students of B. Com. (Accounting & Finance)
        under NEP 2020. The students were comprehensively explained about the National Education Policy

        2020 implemented from the academic year 2023-2024. The highlights, objectives, credits, courses
        offered under different categories as per NEP 2020 were explained in detail.  Students were given brief
        insights into guest lectures, previous students’ achievements, placements and career opportunities
        available in the field of accounting and finance. (July 04, 2024)


        Guest Lectures
        •     Mr. Manaksh Bhanushali from the Maharashtra Government’s Sustainable Development Goals
               (SDG) Cell conducted a guest lecture on Sustainability Management. The speaker addressed
               global issues like climate change, resource depletion, and inequality, emphasizing the need for
               sustainability  in  modern  business  strategies.  The  session  ended  with  a  Q&A,  encouraging

               students to reflect on their role in promoting sustainability.  (August 30, 2024)

        •     The Value Vault Unit of the Rotaract Club conducted session for the students on Plato’s Allegory of

               the  Cave,  exploring  its  philosophical  significance  and  real-world  implications.  The  session
               featured  an  engaging  presentation  on  the  allegory;  the  discussion  integrated  student
               perspectives and various interpretations of the philosophical text. The session encouraged critical
               thinking skills and widened students’ perspective on reality. (October 26, 2024)


        •     A Seminar on the topic ‘Value beyond the Business of TATA’ was conducted by the Value Vault
               Team (Rotaract Club). The seminar focused on the life and values of Sh. Ratan Tata. The session
               was interactive and insightful, offering students a deeper understanding of the values that shaped
               the TATA Legacy. The speakers emphasized on strong ethical beliefs, leadership principles, and
               commitment to values that extend beyond business success. (November 30, 2024)


        •     The Value Vault Unit organized a book reading session on David Goggins’s acclaimed work
               ‘Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds’. The discussion revolved around mental

               toughness, resilience, and self-discipline. The key concepts discussed included the 40% Rule, that
               states when you feel like giving up, you still have 60% left to give, and the “Cookie Jar Method”,
               using past victories as motivation. The session also emphasized self-discipline, consistency, and
               pushing beyond comfort zones.  (January 11, 2025)


        •     A Guest Lecture on the Financial Budget was organized featuring expert insights from Dr. (CA)
               Shardul Shah and Mr. Hiral Suresh Shah. The session enhanced students’ understanding of
               budgeting  concepts  and  their  practical  relevance.  It  also  provided  students  with  a  richer
