Garba Rass Organised by the
Hinduja Alumni Association in Collaboration
with the “Students Council and Cultural Committee”
The Alumni Association of K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce, in collaboration with the Students
Council and Cultural Committee, proudly hosted a vibrant Garba Rass on October 12, 2024, from
3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the 2nd Floor of Halai Lohana Mahajan Wadi, Charni Road, Mumbai 400004.
This lively initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of Hinduja College, who
played a pivotal role in executing the event alongside the Alumni Association. The Garba Rass was
structured into two engaging slots: the first dedicated exclusively to students, followed by a spirited
session where students and alumni came together in celebration. The event attracted nearly 400
students, complemented by the presence of around 50 alumni.
The occasion was further enriched by the attendance of non-teaching, teaching, and visiting faculty
members, who added to the festive atmosphere. A highlight of the evening was the generous
sponsorship by alumni Sohel Kazani from Bharat Freights, who contributed gifts worth
50,000 to reward the outstanding performers in each slot, recognizing the best dancer (male and
female) and best costume (male and female), including best organizer in cultural committee.
Food stalls were thoughtfully set up to cater to the culinary needs of the cultural committee and alumni
association, ensuring that all participants enjoyed a delightful dining experience.
Overall, the Garba Rass emerged as a resounding success, showcasing the collaborative spirit and
unity of the college community, and leaving lasting memories for all who attended.
