In a distinguished ceremony marking 75 years of educational excellence, K.P.B. Hinduja College of
Commerce commemorated its illustrious journey through its Annual Day Celebrations on March 1,
2025 at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium that brought together luminaries from government, industry,
and academia. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Honourable Vice President of
India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Second Lady Smt. Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar and the Honourable Governor
of Maharashtra, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan lending profound gravitas to the celebration. The event
served as a powerful platform to reflect on the institution’s foundational principles and its significant
contributions to the nation’s intellectual and economic fabric.

Shri Ashok Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group, in his welcome address traced the origins of
Hinduja College to the spirit of service that emerged during the upheaval of the 1947 Partition. He
recalled how the founder, Shri Parmanand Deepchand Hinduja, was deeply moved by the suffering of
refugees and committed himself to helping them rebuild their lives with dignity. Guided by the belief,
“My Dharma is to work so that I can give,” this commitment laid the foundation for the Hinduja Group’s
enduring focus on social welfare, particularly in the areas of health and education, which later evolved
into landmark institutions such as the Hinduja Hospital and Hinduja College.
Highlighting the founder’s vision for education, Shri Ashok Hinduja emphasized that learning must be
practical and adaptable to changing times. This philosophy has enabled Hinduja College to remain
relevant and forward-looking, preparing students to meet the demands of a dynamic economy. Linking
this legacy to the future, he expressed confidence that the institution will continue to nurture skilled
professionals who will contribute meaningfully to the national goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047, reinforcing
        the college’s role in nation-building.
