K. P. B. HINDUJA COLLEGE OF COMMERCE
Autonomous ( NAAC Re-accredited A+)
Dr. Chandrakala Himanshu Joshi
In-charge Principal
Over the past five decades, Hinduja College has evolved remarkably. We have expanded our
academic repertoire to offer over 20 diverse programs, catering to nearly 6,000 students annually. Our
dedicated faculty, comprising more than 65 members, has been instrumental in fostering an
environment conducive to learning and personal growth. The recent establishment of professional
courses has nurtured entrepreneurship and innovative projects, producing self-motivated and
confident students.
The College is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. In the academic year 2022-2023, we were
granted autonomous status by UGC, a testament to our academic rigor and quality which has
empowered us to innovate our curriculum, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and global
educational trends. With the implementation of NEP 2020, the educational system has undergone a
revolutionary transformation. Our academic courses have become vocation-oriented thereby ensuring
employability to students. NEP 2020 also promotes Indian Languages and Culture under which special
efforts are being made to incorporate local languages and cultural studies into the curriculum,
fostering a sense of national pride.
Our Ph.D. Research Center and Research Cell have facilitated numerous scholarly publications and
have nurtured a culture of inquiry and innovation among our students and faculty members. The IQAC
works towards the professional growth of staff members by providing opportunities for continuous
learning, through workshops, seminars, and conferences in collaboration with industry and other
institutions.
We encourage and take immense pride in our students’ achievements in co-curricular and
extracurricular domains that foster learning, inclusivity, and cultural exchange. The college offers
counseling services, mentorship programs, and other resources that contribute to the well-being and
success of the student community. The Students’ Council, NSS, DLLE, WDC, Rotaract, and NCC units
are actively engaged in community welfare initiatives that demonstrate the college's commitment
to societal development and outreach programs. As the college succeeds in expanding manyfold, it
requires broadening horizons to take a new leap in to the future. In this context the Management has
been proactive in ushering in a fresh initiative to bring in state of the art facilities and thereby supporting
aspiring students to turn their dreams into reality. We also promise to continue to shape the future of
education and empower our students to scale higher to a place where dreams are realised.
