Initiative to Promote Gender Sensitivity, Student Welfare, and Health Hygiene
In line with the college's ongoing commitment to gender sensitivity, student welfare, and health
hygiene, K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce has successfully installed a Sanitary Pad Vending
Machine on its premises during the academic year 2024–25. This initiative, supported by the IQAC,
aims to promote menstrual hygiene and ensure easy access to sanitary products for female students
and staff. The machine is strategically placed in the women's washroom for convenience and privacy,
and it dispenses affordable sanitary napkins through a coin-operated mechanism. By implementing
this facility, the college addresses a critical aspect of women’s health and well-being, encourages
regular attendance among female students, and fosters a more inclusive and supportive campus
environment. This small yet significant step reflects the institution’s dedication to creating a safe,
respectful, and health-conscious space for all learners..
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital for Healthcare
Benefits to all Faculty Members, Non-Teaching Staff, their Dependents, and Students
A significant welfare initiative was undertaken through the signing of a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. This partnership extended
substantial healthcare benefits to all faculty members, non-teaching staff, their dependents, and
students of the college. By simply presenting their college ID, beneficiaries were entitled to discounted
services: 15% on OPD consultations, lab investigations, and diagnostic imaging (including MRI, CT
scans, USG, X-rays, and more), and 10% on liver screening, executive health packages, nuclear
medicine procedures (PET & SPECT scans), rehabilitation services, and dermatology-related laser
procedures. This collaboration not only strengthened institutional support for physical well-being but
also ensured accessible and quality healthcare for the college community.
The academic year 2024–25 at K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce was marked by purposeful
initiatives across academic, cultural, healthcare, and spiritual domains. Through these activities, IQAC
has not only enhanced institutional quality but also fostered a nurturing and value-driven educational
environment. These efforts reflect the college’s holistic vision for higher education, grounded in
excellence, inclusivity, well-being, and ethical integrity. The IQAC remains committed to promoting
sustainable quality practices and innovation in the years ahead.
