IT’S DIFFICULT TO BE A BOY

Everyone has heard of the most usual question “what is difficult, to be a girl or a boy”? Recurrent answer
        – “girl”. I am m not denying the answer but every coin has two faces.
My topic will talk about why it is difficult to be a boy.

Being a boy can indeed present its own set of challenges. Which creates a huge impact on their mind
and personality. Every boy deals with challenges differently and responds in a number of was such as
crying, screaming, gets mentally disturbed or depressed.

Societal expectations: Boys often face rigid societal expectations and stereotypes associated with
masculinity. They may feel pressure to adhere to traditional gender roles and display traits such as
toughness, independence, and emotional stoicism. This can limit their freedom to express their true
selves and explore interests or behaviors that may not align with these expectations.

Peer pressure: Boys may encounter peer pressure to conform to specific behaviors, engage in risky
activities, or adopt certain attitudes to fit in with their social circles. This can create challenges in
maintaining their individuality and making decisions based on their own values and interest.

Expectations of independence and self-reliance: Boys are often expected to be independent and self-
reliant from an early age. While self-sufficiency is valuable, the pressure to constantly prove oneself
and avoid seeking support can create a sense of isolation. Boys may feel hesitant to ask for help,
leading to increased stress and difficulties in navigating challenges.

During childhood every boy is lovable and adorable to the society but as he gets in his teen stage the
society treats him differently because boys are often considered as rash, bad, mischievous and violent.
“Males can’t cry”, another often repeated statement made to boys, without considering that every boy
        responds and processes emotions differently!

Adulthood is a difficult phase, because the world will try to crush you and bury your kindness and
emotions and then ponder the question “why isn’t there is humanity nowadays”? No matter what you try
to do something good, society will throw obstacles and barbs at you. If you don’t tow the line, life will be
made miserable. One is always expected to be part of the herd, if you are different than the others, it
        will be curtailed or controlled.

Sometimes the situations compel us to do things that drown us in guilt, insecurities or we become
emotionally unstable. But the most important thing is “comeback”, how you overcome these challenges
and stand up to the world saying that, “I’m not lost.” or “I’m back.”!! Robert Downey JR is best example
        of a comeback.

Everybody deserves a second chance…. isn’t that kind of the point?
