The topic of my Argumentative essay is ‘Self-publishing V/S Traditional
publishing’ and I am going to deliver my words in favour of it.
What is the real need of a writer to become an Author? Well-
it’s the support and immense love from the readers towards
their work but have you ever thought how they turn their dream
into reality? Of course, writing is a field where various talented
and responsible but in all these chaos, the huge question come
with the problem- which publishing way is better?
A lot of famous authors of today’s time like E.L James, Robert
Kiyosaki, Rupi Kaur and etc. started their journey from scratch
as it gave them the opportunity and the chance to learn and
experience their own creation. Self-publishing not only
ensures our work to be under only our control but also connects us to the reader’s emotions.
Traditional publishing may offer you cost free publishing but have you ever thought that what if the
world you are trying to create, is modified or twisted by others just because they wanted to do so? Self-
publishing allows you to publish your creation according to your choices.
Here are some points which will satisfy my take for the above argument:
1. Self-publishing gives you full right and privilege to control your story according to your wish
2. Why wait 1 or 2 years to publish when you can do it in months?
3. Self-publishing gives you the golden opportunity to choose your own covers, your desired title. You
can even do the editing on your own.
4. Self-publishing comes with minimal charges.
5. With this, you can promote yourself and work freely
without being Pressurized.
Therefore, Self-publishing is becoming a blessing to so many
writers who are working hard everyday. They have all the
freedom over their creation. It is giving them the result of their
efforts and the creation they have created. It gives new aspiring
authors motivation to choose writing as their career and publish
their imagination.
