Secretary (Ministry of Corporate Affairs). Students gained valuable insights from a panel of experts
including representatives of SEBI, NISM, AMFI, BSE, and a cybersecurity firm. The event highlighted the
importance of digital tools in enhancing financial literacy, protecting investors, and developing India's

3. On December 10, 2024 visit to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the students had the opportunity to
hear an address by Mr. Rakesh Nair (NISM). Such direct engagement with industry professionals
provides practical perspectives and complements the students’ classroom learning, providing a
deeper understanding of the financial world.
Field Project
As part of our Field Project, with the core aim of contributing positively to society, the BFM Department
chose to support the commendable work of Vatsalya Foundation.
Simultaneously, our Venture Capital & Private Equity (VCPE) project involved selling an assigned
product. We ingeniously decided to merge these initiatives: the funds raised from our VCPE product
sales would be directly donated to Vatsalya Foundation as our CSR activity, fulfilling our field project's
objective. This initiative was formally titled ‘The Finvestor Carnival.’
This integration allowed our VCPE efforts to serve a larger purpose. The strategies and hard work the
students of the BFM Department invested in marketing and selling the products, including setting up
stalls in the college precinct, directly translated into a valuable contribution for Vatsalya Foundation and
the children they support. Every sale became a step towards both completing our VCPE assignment and
making a real-world difference.
Beyond our collective effort in the field project culminating in the visit to Vatsalya Foundation, several
teams of students also undertook impactful parallel initiatives. Demonstrating a broader commitment
to societal contribution, these teams proactively engaged with local schools to impart crucial lessons on
financial literacy to young children. This outreach extended the scope of our field project, showcasing
the diverse ways in which our students are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the
community.
Such initiatives transcend the boundaries of traditional learning by offering a potent blend of
theoretical application and real-world engagement.
