A Proud Moment as the College Secures First Rank in the Commerce, Management and Law Category

K. P. B. Hinduja College of Commerce (Autonomous) added another glorious chapter to its legacy of academic excellence by securing the 'Overall Championship (First Rank)' in the Commerce, Management and Law Category at the 20th Aavishkar: Inter-Collegiate / Institute / Department Research Convention, organized by the Department of Students' Development, University of Mumbai, for the academic year 2025–2026.

Aavishkar Research Convention is the flagship research initiative of the University of Mumbai that provides an excellent platform for students and teachers to showcase their research aptitude, innovative ideas, and problem-solving abilities. The convention promotes a vibrant research culture by encouraging participants from diverse disciplines to present original research before expert panels. The competition is conducted in multiple stages, namely the Zonal Level, University Level, and the Maharashtra State Level, where only the best research projects advance through each stage.

The students of K. P. B. Hinduja College of Commerce (Autonomous) participated enthusiastically across various research categories and displayed outstanding academic competence. Their exceptional research presentations and innovative projects earned them accolades at the Zonal Level I (Mumbai), University Level, and Maharashtra State Level, bringing immense pride to the institution. The achievement reflects the college's sustained efforts in nurturing research-oriented learning through the guidance of dedicated faculty mentors and continuous institutional support.

To celebrate the achievements of the winners, the Department of Students' Development, University of Mumbai, organized the Prize Distribution Ceremony of the 20th Aavishkar: Inter-Collegiate / Institute / Department Research Convention on Thursday, 9th July 2026, at the Kavi Kusumagraj Marathi Bhasha aani Sahitya Bhavan, University of Mumbai.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. Makarand Deshpande, eminent Indian actor, writer, and theatre personality, as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Ravindra Kulkarni, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, University of Mumbai. Among the distinguished dignitaries present were Dr. Minakshi Gurav, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Aavishkar, along with University officials, faculty members, researchers, and students from affiliated colleges.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Overall Championship Trophy, where K. P. B. Hinduja College of Commerce (Autonomous) was declared the Overall Champion (First Rank) in the Commerce, Management and Law Category. The award recognized the college's outstanding collective performance and consistent excellence throughout the various stages of the research convention.

The entire Hinduja College fraternity takes immense pride in this prestigious recognition and congratulates all the student researchers, mentors, and coordinators whose dedication and teamwork made this outstanding success possible.
