Awareness program - World Suicide Prevention Month
In observance of the World Suicide Prevention Month, the department screened the thought-provoking
film Not Today. The film screening and the discussions that followed encouraged open dialogue on
mental health, empathy, and the importance of emotional well-being. (October 15, 2024)
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
To begin the new year on an inspiring note, a movie screening of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was
organized. The film’s themes of ambition, passion, and friendship resonated deeply with the students,
followed by a reflective discussion on storytelling in cinema. (January 4, 2025)
Field Visits
BSE Visit
Students visited the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), where they observed live market operations and
understood financial reporting and trading mechanisms. (December 10, 2024)
Rural Field Visit to Vatsalya Foundation
Students undertook a Rural Field Visit to the Vatsalya Foundation, gaining exposure to rural
communication strategies, community outreach, and the role of media in social development. The visit
offered practical insights into grassroots initiatives and highlighted the importance of socially
responsible communication. (January 25 & 26, 2025)
Kala Ghoda Arts Festival
BAMMC Students visited the Kala Ghoda Festival to observe the intersection of art, culture, and media
in a public space. During the visit, they conducted vox pop interviews with visitors and artists,
documenting public responses and gaining practical experience in on-field reporting and cultural
coverage. The visit enriched their creative sensibilities and appreciation of aesthetics in media design.

Bonsai Bonanza Festival
Students attended the Bonsai Bonanza Festival organized by the Indian Friendship Bonsai Society. The
event graced by Guest of Honour Ms. Kajol Devgn, beautifully showcased the art of bonsai and
creativity rooted in patience and discipline. (January 31, 2025)
