BACHELOR OF COMMERCE BANKING AND INSURANCE (B.B.I)

Orientation

An Orientation Programme was organized for the first-year students of the Department to introduce
them to the Banking and Insurance curriculum under NEP 2020. Students were introduced to the faculty
and were informed about the various facilities available at the College, as well as the range of
extracurricular activities offered. (July 04, 2024)

Team Building Activity

A Team-Building Activity was organized for first-year students with the aim of enhancing collaboration,
communication, and interpersonal skills. Various fun and engaging tasks were conducted wherein
students were provided an opportunity to interact with their peers, build trust, and develop a sense of
belonging. (August 8, 2024)

Career Workshop

A Career Workshop was organized to provide students with essential knowledge and guidance related
to career planning, specifically focusing on opportunities in the banking and insurance sectors. The
resource person for the session was Mr. Karan Joshi, a freelance educator. The session aimed to help
students understand industry expectations, available career paths, and the skills required to succeed in
these sectors. Students were acquainted with essential skills required for jobs such as communication,
resume writing, numerical ability, and financial awareness. Career opportunities in the industry such as
insurance advisors, underwriters, claims managers, and actuarial roles were discussed. (August 23,

Boot Camp

A Hands-on Boot Camp was organized at IES Management Institute, Bandra for students with the
objective of strengthening essential professional skills such as leadership, communication, and
managerial abilities. The camp provided a practical learning environment where students could
