Intra-college Events

• Essay Writing Competition (10 December, 2024)

To inculcate a reading habit and to enhance the general knowledge of students, especially in the area
of Economics an Essay Writing competition was organized for students both, from the Aided and Self
Finance Sections on the following topics:

• Green Energy Initiatives for India’s Sustainable Development.

• Is the Digital economy a leveler or a source of economic inequality?

• Is the near jobless growth in India an anomaly or an outcome of economic reforms?

• Ground realities of the new emerging women power in India.

• Immigration is Not a Threat, but Fundamentally it’s an Economic Issue

Student participants of the competition were judged by Dr. Mahendra Ramraj Mishra, Assistant
Professor of Economics at K. J. Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce. The following winners were
awarded with Certificates and Cash at the Annual Prize Distribution Function of the College:
Ms. Janvi Shahani 1st Prize

Mr. Vaidik Joshi 2nd Prize

Ms. Rutuja Konduskar 3rd Prize
