Health Camp in Collaboration with “Saarthi Foundation”
The Alumni Association of K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce in collaboration with the Saarthi
Foundation, proudly hosted a comprehensive health camp on October 4, 2024, from 10:00 AM to
3:30 PM in the library on the second floor of the college premises.
This initiative saw enthusiastic participation from the students of K.G. Mittal Ayurveda College, who
volunteered their services alongside the Saarthi Foundation and the N.K. Dhabar Cancer Institute. The
health camp provided a range of vital check-ups, including routine blood tests, sugar level
assessments, and specialized screenings for neck and mouth cancer, as well as breast cancer for
women. The event was open to all faculty members, non-teaching staff, current
students, and alumni, and it attracted a total of approximately 70 participants.
The camp commenced with a warm welcome from Management Representative -Dr. Minu Madlani
and I/C Principal-Dr. Chandrakala Joshi, who, along with convenors of Alumni Committee and other
faculty members, gathered for the official opening. The health checks began with alumni, followed by
non-teaching staff, teaching faculty, and finally, the current students, ensuring that everyone had the
opportunity to receive the essential health services.
Mr. Janak Sanghvi, the founder president of the Hinduja Alumni Association and a key resource person
for the Saarthi Foundation, played a pivotal role in organizing and coordinating this successful event in
partnership with the Hinduja Alumni Association of the college. The health camp concluded with the
last participant receiving their check-up at 3:00 PM, marking a day of significant community
engagement and health awareness.
Overall, the health camp was a resounding success, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the college
community and the importance of proactive health management.
