NATIONAL CADET CORPS
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of the College is committed to developing qualities of character,
courage, discipline, leadership, a spirit of adventure and sportsmanship, and the ideals of selfless service
among the youth. The NCC aims to mould students into responsible and useful citizens and to create a
pool of organized, trained, and motivated youth capable of providing leadership in all walks of life,
including the Armed Forces, while remaining ever ready for service to the nation, in keeping with its
motto, “Unity and Discipline.”
In this academic year, the NCC unit collaborated with the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) to participate in the
International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day at Girgaon Beach. The campaign was conducted under the
theme “Swachh Sagar, Surakshit Sagar,” with the objective of creating awareness among the general
public about the harmful effects of marine litter and highlighting the importance of clean seas for the
protection of marine flora and fauna. A total of 33 students actively participated in the ICC-2024
campaign, contributing to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by cleaning marine litter from the coastal area
and promoting environmental responsibility. (September 21, 2024)
