'Tremor' - An Intercollegiate Academic Conclave
'Tremor', an intercollegiate academic conclave is organized annually by the BMS Department of Hinduja

College. The theme for 'Tremor 2021' was 'Space Crusade' in which more than 10 colleges participated. The
events and activities in the conclave included the following:
• A Grooming Session was arranged in association with the Placement Cell of Hinduja College to prepare students

for job interviews. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Parsad Sawant, Cluster Head (IMS) and Mr. Abhishek
Narayan, MBA. The eminent speakers mentored students about the differences in a Résumé, Curriculum Vitae
and Bio-data; the ideal content for a Résumé, its acceptable length and format and how to build a winning Résumé
in order to get shortlisted for a job. They also enlightened students on how to introduce themselves at a selection
interview; the importance of body language and oral communication at a job interview. Besides BMS students a
number of students from other Programmes offered by the College also participated. (February 18 - 19, 2021)

• A Job Fair was arranged in association with the Placement Cell of the College. More than 12 reputed companies
such as Aditya Birla Health Insurance, Motilal Oswal and Kotak Life among others participated to benefit over
200 young aspirants with Aptitude Tests, Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. (March 02 - 03, 2021)

Presentation Club

The 5th edition of the Presentation Club organized a two-day Inter-collegiate Presentation Competition. The
Presentation Club was initially conceptualized as a platform to improve the oratory and presentation skills of
students. This took a positive and creative turn with the lockdown as it went online and provided students with a
platform to collaborate and express themselves in innovative and inventive ways. (September 11 - 12, 2021)

Digital Master Class

A Digital Master Class on how to select specialization from among Finance, Marketing and Human Resource was
organized for the First Year students in association with IBS, Mumbai. Professor Hemant Purandare, Deputy
Director (Academics), IBS, Mumbai was the Resource Person. He discussed and explained the scope of each area
of specialisation to facilitate students in making the right choice. (July 25, 2020)
